Creating Our Identity – Special Olympics World Games 2019
On the occasion of Abu Dhabi hosting the Special Olympics World Games 2019, the international humanitarian sporting event held on the territory of the Emirates in the “Year of Tolerance”. The Emirates Autism Association organized an initiative to create our identity “the plate of distress” that embodies the emblem of the Special Olympics, where the pieces of distress were used to connect the people of determination with the palm, the symbol of originality and quality among the people of the Emirates in cooperation with the creative artist Azza Al Qubaisi. The Society organized to prepare plate “3” workshops hosted by the Abu Dhabi Autism Center, the Cultural Foundation and Manarat Al Saadiyat with the participation of children with autism more than 80 students from private and government centers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, with the support of mothers who are members of the association.
